A Return Visit to the Site
In the fall of the year 2000, Alfred Babin made a return visit to the site of the St. Stephen's Massacre. In the photo above he is on far left speaking. After the Atomic Bomb was dropped on Nagasaki the prisoners of the infamous POW Camp 5B were released. Babin had spent many months in the camp doing hard labour and remembers the hunger, the pain, the despair, and how he got through the ordeal by taking it one day at a time.
Une visite de retour au site
À l'automne de l'an 2000, Alfred Babin est retourné au site du massacre de St. Stephen's. Il est à l'extrême-gauche, en train de parler. Après le bombardement de Nagasaki à la bombe atomique, les prisonniers du tristement célèbre Camp de PGs 5B furent remis en liberté. Babin avait passé plusieurs mois dans le camp à faire du travail forcé et se souvient de la faim, de la peur, du désespoir, et de comment il a passé par l'épreuve en la vivant un jour à la fois.
