Description

Proposed design is black granite, 12 feet long by 6 feet high by 1 foot thick with 2 end walls 4 feet by 6 feet by 1 foot thick with a 1 foot white granite base surrounded by a patio 10 feet by 15 feet.

Location

Ottawa, Ontario - National Capital Commission (NCC) land with easy accessibility for the public.

Inscriptions

On each side of the long faces of the wall will be inscribed the names of the Royal Rifles of Canada and the Winnipeg Grenadiers.  On each short end of the wall, will be inscribed the names of the Brigade Headquarters units that supported the two battalions that served in Hong Kong

Funding

As members of the Hong Kong Veterans Commemorative Association, we hope that you will solicit funds from individuals of the HKVCA family and friends towards the Memorial Wall. Please use this UPDATED brochure with your request as it contains the information that a donor would like to know. Also available in Chinese.

For memorials, if the family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Memorial Wall, there are donor cards that may be used. Example

Engaging the interest of local Corporations and agencies in our Memorial Wall is a great way for us to make progress and we will acknowledge these donations on this web site. Want to help in this effort? Please contact the Committee who have packages prepared to help you.
