2007 Update

On
March 12, 2007, Dad celebrated his 90th birthday with his wife, Nada at
his side. They were married 61 years ago, and have resided in the same
house all these years. Dad was so happy to receive birthday letters and
certificates from many dignitaries, including Prime Minister Stephen
Harper and Governor General Michaelle Jean. In spite of a few aches and
pains Mom and Dad still manage to take the bus down to the shopping
centre almost every day. Dad always gets great pleasure out of
receiving the HKVCA's newsletters and in attending the annual reunions
in Winnipeg. We hope Dad's health and happiness can continue for many
years to come, as well as that of his fellow surviving comrades across
Canada.

I just thought I would send a quick note to say we celebrated Dad's 93rd Birthday today. Pretty special for us, and I knew you would all find it pretty neat too!! Dad (& Mom) would like to say Hi to each of you in the "Hong Kong Veterans Family", and give you all their best. Here are a couple of photos of Dad taken on his special day today.
