Don’t miss this great opportunity to come together with Hong Kong Battle veterans, their widows, families and friends who want to perpetuate the memory of Canada’s role in the Battle of Hong Kong.  The national convention is an opportunity to remember and commemorate those lost, and educate ourselves on issues that affect our veterans and their families. The convention team has put together a terrific agenda of social, remembrance and learning events that will appeal to members of all ages.

The registration/volunteer/fees page is linked from the 2017 Convention information page. Make sure to fill out the forms, enclose your payment and mail them off.

June 28 For a different perspective on the Battle of Hong Kong, read “Stranger in My Heart”, about a British soldier who fought in the battle, was imprisoned at Sham Shui Po, and managed to escape from there in 1942 to make his way across China.  The author, his daughter, retraces the path he took to freedom.  You can find out more about the book here.
